En el presente art\u00edculo hablaremos del N\u00daMERO<\/strong> (singular o plural<\/strong>) de los sustantivos.<\/p>\n

1<\/strong>.- En general, se forma el plural a\u00f1adiendo \u201c-s<\/strong>\u201d\u00a0a los sustantivos que terminan en vocal:<\/p>\n

\u201ccasa-s\u201d\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u201cgato-s\u201d\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u201csilla-s\u201d\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u201csombrero-s\u201d\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u201cmesa-s\u201d<\/p>\n

2<\/strong>.- Por otra parte, los sustantivos que en singular terminan en consonante, a\u00f1aden \u201c-es<\/strong>\u201d:<\/p>\n

\u201cordenador\/ordenador-es\u201d\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u201csill\u00f3n\/sillon-es\u201d\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u201ctabl\u00f3n\/tablon-es\u201d<\/p>\n

3<\/strong>.- Sin embargo, los que terminan en \u201c-\u00ed<\/strong>\u201d o \u201c-\u00fa<\/strong>\u201d (acentuaci\u00f3n aguda) admiten tanto \u201c-s<\/strong>\u201d como \u201c-es<\/strong>\u201d indistintamente:<\/p>\n

\u201ccolibr\u00ed\/colibr\u00eds\/colibr\u00edes\u201d\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u201cbistur\u00ed\/bistur\u00eds\/bistur\u00edes\u201d\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u201ctab\u00fa\/tab\u00fas\/tab\u00faes\u201d<\/p>\n

4<\/strong>.- Adem\u00e1s, los sustantivos que acaban en\u00a0 \u201c-s<\/strong>\u201d o \u201c-x<\/strong>\u201d con acentuaci\u00f3n llana (el lu<\/u>nes\/el cl\u00ed<\/u>max) o esdr\u00fajula (el an\u00e1<\/u>lisis), permanecen invariables en plural:<\/p>\n

\u201clos lunes\u201d\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u201clos cl\u00edmax\u201d\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u201clos an\u00e1lisis\u201d<\/p>\n

5<\/strong>.- Por otra parte, hay sustantivos que en singular terminan en \u201c-y<\/em><\/strong>\u201d. Unos, en plural, la cambian por \u201ci<\/strong>\u201d y luego a\u00f1aden\u00a0<\/strong>\u201c-s<\/em><\/strong>\u201d\u00a0(como en \u201cjersey \/ jers\u00e9is<\/strong>\u201d). Otros, en cambio, a\u00f1aden\u00a0\u201c-es<\/em><\/strong>\u201d\u00a0y consonantizan el sonido de la\u00a0\u201cy<\/strong>\u201d (como en \u00a0\u201crey \/ reyes<\/strong>\u201d).<\/p>\n

6<\/strong>.- En lo que se refiere a monos\u00edlabos acabados en vocal, se prefiere a\u00f1adir la terminaci\u00f3n \u2013es<\/strong> para formar su plural:\u00a0\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cel no \/ los noes<\/strong>\u201d\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u201cel s\u00ed\/los s\u00edes<\/strong>\u201d<\/p>\n

7<\/strong>.- Por \u00faltimo, mencionar que hay sustantivos que solo tienen singular (salud, este, sur, oeste, norte, sed\u2026), al igual que hay otros que solo se usan en plural (tijeras, alicates, v\u00edveres\u2026).<\/p>\n
